Three Definition of Ethics
I. Ethics is the study of the morality of human actions.
James purchased a brand new computer. The vendor did not include the software because they are observing the Anti Piracy Law. The vendor advised him to buy a licensed operating system. Instead of buying licensed and expensive software, he purchased a pirated software from other local vendor. His conduct is morally illegal, therefore it is unethical.
II. Ethics is the study and philosophy of human conduct. 
Neil is a contractual employee of SoftLogic Corporation as Systems Administrator. The company decided not to renew his contract due to his poor performance. As a result, he copied all confidential files of the company and send them to rival company without mentioning his name. His conduct is wrong, therefore it is unethical.
III. Ethics as a concept suggests the notion of correct or incorrect practices relative to various concerns or fields of study.
XXX Banking corporation is currently testing the implementation of new Banking System. Neil, as computer programmer tasks to handle the migration of data from old system to new one. He advised the branches to clean/provide necessary information needed by the new system. While testing, he noticed that some client’s information are still not yet produced, instead of calling the branch, he put a default value for some fields so he can proceed to his testing. After the accounts migrated, the branch noticed the default values provided by Neil, the branch head called the head of Migration team report the information they gathered. Although Neil’s action is for the common good and for the success of the migration, he commit an unethical acts because he is not the proper person responsible to provide the information of bank’s clients.
